Who it suits

When should your child see a dentist?

  • Your child has holes, dark spots or chalky white spots on the teeth.
  • A loose baby tooth won’t fall out, or the adult tooth is coming in behind it.
  • Your child complains of sensitivity or pain when eating.
  • It is time for a regular check-up, or your child has never had one.

Early and regular check-ups catch problems while they are small and help children get used to the dentist without fear.

  • Use fluoride toothpaste in the amount the dentist recommends for their age.
  • Limit sweets, soft drinks and bottle feeding at bedtime.
  • Teach your child to rinse with water after eating.

FAQ

Questions about children’s teeth

Can’t find your answer? Message us on WhatsApp or Zalo.

Ask on Zalo
When should my child first see a dentist?

Many dental guidelines recommend a first visit when the first tooth appears or around age one. Your dentist can advise on the right time for your child.

Should decayed baby teeth be filled if they’ll fall out anyway?

Yes. Baby teeth help children chew, speak and hold space for adult teeth; untreated decay can cause pain and affect the teeth that follow.

What if my child is scared of the dentist?

The dentist takes time to build trust before the exam. Talk about the visit positively at home and avoid using the dentist as a threat.

Does baby tooth extraction hurt?

The dentist uses anaesthetic suited to children when needed, so your child should feel very little.

How often should my child have a check-up?

Your dentist will recommend a check-up schedule based on your child’s teeth and risk of decay.

How much does a check-up for my child cost?

You will receive a free examination and consultation at the clinic, where the dentist recommends a treatment plan and costs that suit your teeth. Message us on WhatsApp or Zalo for quick advice or to book a visit. X-rays, if needed, are not included in the free consultation; the dentist explains this before taking them.
