The basics

What is a dental implant?

An implant is a small post (usually titanium) placed in the jawbone to replace the root of a missing tooth. Once it has bonded firmly with the bone, the dentist fits a porcelain crown on top to restore the visible tooth.

01

Implant post

Placed in the jawbone, it works like a tooth root.

02

Abutment

Connects the implant post to the crown above.

03

Porcelain crown

The visible part, matched in colour and shape to your natural teeth.

Who it suits

When should you consider an implant?

  • You have lost one or more teeth and want a fixed replacement rather than removable dentures.
  • A tooth has been missing for a while and you want to limit bone loss in that area.
  • You don’t want the healthy neighbouring teeth to be filed down, as a bridge requires.
  • Your removable denture feels loose, uncomfortable or makes chewing difficult.
  • A crown on an existing implant that has come loose or broken.

Not everyone can have an implant straight away. The dentist will examine you, take X-rays to assess your jawbone and ask about your general health (for example diabetes or smoking) before recommending treatment.

Benefits

Why many people choose implants

01

Stable chewing

The post is fixed in the jawbone, so chewing feels close to a natural tooth.

02

Neighbouring teeth untouched

The healthy teeth around the gap are kept as they are.

03

Limits bone loss

An implant helps limit the jawbone loss that follows losing a tooth.

04

Natural look

The crown is chosen to blend in with the colour and shape of your other teeth.

Process

What happens during implant treatment?

The dentist explains every step and the costs before treatment starts. Actual timing depends on the condition of your jawbone.

Book an exam
  1. 01

    Exam & 3D scan

The dentist examines you and takes a 3D cone beam CT scan to assess the jawbone and plan the implant.

  2. 02

    Placing the implant

Under local anaesthetic, the dentist places the implant post in the jawbone.

  3. 03

    Bonding with the bone

The post needs time to bond firmly with the jawbone. You live normally and come back for check-ups.

  4. 04

    Abutment & crown

Impressions are taken and a crown matched to your other teeth is fitted.

  5. 05

    Regular check-ups

The post, crown and gums are checked so your implant lasts.

Your plan

Your personal dental implant plan

The dentist will examine you in person, then recommend a treatment plan and costs that suit you.

  1. 01

    Quick online advice

Message us on WhatsApp or Zalo, or book online. We’ll reply and arrange a convenient time for your visit.

  2. 02

    Free examination and consultation

At the clinic, your dentist examines you, recommends a treatment plan and explains the costs.

Your plan depends on

  • How many teeth need implants and where they are.
  • The type of implant and crown you choose.
  • Your jawbone: whether a bone graft or sinus lift is needed.

Quality comes first

  • A dentist examines you personally and explains your situation.
  • Your treatment plan and costs are explained before treatment starts, so you can make an informed decision.
  • No extra charges without discussing them with you first.

The examination and consultation are free (X-rays not included). If an X-ray is needed, the dentist explains why before taking it.

Aftercare

Caring for your implant

Following the dentist’s instructions helps you heal well and helps your implant last.

  • First few days: use a cold compress for swelling and take medicine exactly as prescribed.
  • Eat soft, cool food and avoid chewing hard on the treated side at first.
  • Don’t smoke, as it affects healing and how well the implant bonds.
  • Clean gently: brush and use floss or a water flosser as instructed.
  • Come back for check-ups on time so the dentist can check the post, crown and gums.
  • Contact the clinic straight away if pain, swelling or bleeding lasts or seems unusual.

Reviews from implant patients

★★★★★

Dental implant questions

Ask on Zalo
Does getting an implant hurt?

The dentist uses local anaesthetic, so you should feel very little during the procedure. You may have some soreness or mild swelling for a few days afterwards; the dentist will give aftercare advice and prescribe medicine if needed.

How long does implant treatment take?

The actual time depends on your jawbone and whether a bone graft is needed. After the examination, the dentist will give you a specific timeline and treatment plan.

How long does an implant last?

It depends on the quality of the implant, your jawbone and how you care for it. Good cleaning and regular check-ups help your implant last a long time.

Can I get an implant if I have bone loss?

Often yes, but you may need a bone graft or sinus lift first. The dentist will assess this from your X-rays and advise you.

Who should not get an implant?

Some cases need to wait or prepare more carefully, for example uncontrolled general health conditions, heavy smoking or pregnancy. The dentist will ask about your health history before advising.

Do I need a bone graft? Can the implant go in right after an extraction?

Depending on your bone, some cases need a bone graft before or during implant placement. In suitable cases, the tooth can be removed and the implant placed the same day, with a temporary tooth. Your dentist will decide after the exam and 3D scan.

How much do dental implants cost?

You will receive a free examination and consultation at the clinic, where the dentist recommends a treatment plan and costs that suit your teeth. Message us on WhatsApp or Zalo for quick advice or to book a visit. X-rays, if needed, are not included in the free consultation; the dentist explains this before taking them.
